Lynn, I agree with Bill M, it sounds like too much nitrogen. I live in the desert, and our temps reach 100+. As soon as I see the bloom buds coming on, I spray them with a blossom spray. I don't have near as many blooms dropping as I do when not using it. When my plants get to 5 feet tall, I begin clipping off the top of the plant. I also pinch out some of the suckers, especially on the spindly vines. Good luck.

Hi Lynn,
Since the reason for being for all plants (actually all life) is to propagate the species, it might be possible to get some fruiting action going by stressing those big healty plants a bit.Root pruning will often scare a plant into setting fruit. This can be done by slicing into the dirt using a sharp spade about 6-8" from the main stem. Make sure you go straight down and do not angle under the plant and cut too many roots. If this procedure seems too barbaric, you might also try top pruning the plant about a third.

Sounds like too much nitrogen which makes plant grow like crazy, but causes blossom drop. Use a fertilizer with a 1-2-1 ratio (like 12-24-12). Also, daytime temps of 90 and night temps of 70 + is detrimental to fruit set.
