My Rosemary Herb plant

I have two Rosemary Herbs, each planted in a different pot that I purchased as young plants, not from seeds.  I transplanted each in their own pot and sprayed good with my Spray N Grow mixed with Mr.…Continue

I had trouble a number of years ago. I learned that if you use a product called Budswell, which is Bat and Sea bird guano, there are beneficial bugs in this to clean your tomato bed. I also, directly at planting mulch the plant this keeeps any…

It sounds like fusarium Wilt and Mold or possibly Vertcilium Wilt. Best thing to do is separate them form the other container plants to keep it from Spreading. I don't know of a cure, but always hate to give up in a plant. If you have any Physan…

Tomato leaves yellowing!!!

My tomato plants had been doing great.  Using SNG + Bill's about once a week.  Already have many, many tomato buds flowering and a couple of small green tomatoes appearing already.  Now, about 3 days ago with had a very rainy day for the first time since planting (I planted in barrel planters on my patio).  Yesterday I noticed some yellowing of the bottom leaves on the tomato plants.  I pulled them off and looks this up on different gardening sites and mostly it referred to lack of nitrogen in…See More

Oh no! Well, I'm not really sure what else you could try to save the little guy... Did you sterilize the pot before you transplanted it? The only other thing I can think of that might be the culprit is perhaps a soil-born disease? Otherwise,…

Hi! Yeah, you will need to use an insecticide along with the Perfect Blend Kit (which is only fertilizer and vitamin supplement). I'd follow Bill's advice and apply SnG, then insecticide in a couple of days; you'll also want to…

My Rosemary Herb plant

I have two Rosemary Herbs, each planted in a different pot that I purchased as young plants, not from seeds.  I transplanted each in their own pot and sprayed good with my Spray N Grow mixed with Mr. Bill's.  I also poured some of the mixture directly on the roots when transplanting.  One of the plants is doing great.  It is growing and I have already sniped some and used it, but the other is not doing well at all.  It looks like it is dying or something.  It has not showed any signs of growth…See More

I don't think by using Spray -N - Grow alone that it will not ward off insects. Using spray-n-grow every 3 or 4 days I believe that should be sufficent enough, then wait and use the insecticide then use spray-n-grow again. On my roses I use…

Bill M commented on Eileen Hayes's blog post 'Insecticide "Neem ll" plus Spray N Grow?'
The Spray-N-Grow and Bill's combination make plants more disease and insect resistant. The Neem Oil is a good pesticide, but I wouldn't use it until you see a problem developing. However, there is nothing wrong with using it as a…

When to start using an insecticide?

I have been using Spray N Grow on my tomato plants and my herbs since transplanting them in containers about 2 weeks ago.  I am using the Spray N Grow along with Mr. Bill's Fertilizer on all of them about every 3 or 4 days.  I was wondering if this alone will protect my plants from INSECTS?  Should I wait until I see any insects or should I spray with insecticide to ward off any insects that may be in the area now?  Also if I do have to use the insecticide how does that work with using the…See More

Insecticide "Neem ll" plus Spray N Grow?

Is it necessary to use an insecticide, such as Neem ll, with the use of Spray N Grow & Bill's Fertilizer in order to prevent any infestation on my Tomato Plants and Herbs. I just planted a beautiful container garden on my back patio and all plants, night now, look great and are doing great. But here in the south, Charlotte, NC, we do have problems with Mite and Fungus infestation on Tomato Plants, especially if it gets windy..The Spray N Grow with Bill's Fertilizer has been great but will…See More
