Tiffani, Please call our office 800-323-2363 so we can review everything you are doing in your garden. There are many things that can affect plants. Weather is certainly one, especially with all the rain many of us have had this summer. Let's talk.…

When we got our boxes this year, they had fertilizer with them, (you have to buy it every year), and they said we had everything we needed, and not to add other fertilizer or it would burn the plants. We have two tomato plants per box, (like they sa…

Dolomite at the nursery is powdered calcium and it is imperative to mix in the Earth Boxes with fertilizer. We have EB's too.

What is dolomite, and where do I get it? I don't think to much water is the problem, because we have earth boxes, and the water wicks up from below. They only get water from the top when it rains, and we have only had short showers lately.

Hello! We have done two rounds of sprays now on vegies and they are doing better than last year. Huge zucchini's and bigger leaves than last yr. Tomatoes ready to pop. Eggplant - all doing beautifully. So grateful for spray n grow! Roses love them t…

We have earth boxes with tomato plants, and they are growing great. We had tiny pink, fuzzy things, but the spray took care of them. Now I have black round spots on the bottom of the tomato's. What is that? Is that blossom end rot? I thought the top…

Pepper problem is probably Phtyophthora which is a soil borne disease. Before planting next crop move to different location if possible. Apply Actinovate to garden to garden area to help prevent soil borne fungal diseases. Then apply Neem Oil regula…

Good job! Thanks for sharing. The Coco Wet makes perfect sense since it makes water wetter and really coats the critters. The Neem Oil is also very good for these problems and is organic. Remember when using Coco Wet 1/2 teaspoon per gallon water is…

The Spray-N-Grow is still good. Follow the directions mixing with warm water (like you wash your hands). If any of the bottles are Bill's Perfect Fertilizer throw them away. Let me know if you get a color change within about 15 mins after mixing (f…

The red plastic mulch reflects red lightwaves back up into the plant and research shows increased yields. I haven't seen any data on ant other crop except apples. It also works like regular plastic in keeping weeds undercontrol.

It sounds like fusarium Wilt and Mold or possibly Vertcilium Wilt. Best thing to do is separate them form the other container plants to keep it from Spreading. I don't know of a cure, but always hate to give up in a plant. If you have any Physan on h…

Spray-N-Grow may more valuable to use on perennials than any plant. Apply to the plants at least once per month during growing season beginning at bud-swell in spring. SNG has a cumulative affect on perennials. They bget better every and make it muc…

Yes! My last spraying I mixed 2 ozs Spray-N-Grow, 1 tablespoon Bill's and 2 ozs Nutrical to one gallon warm water. Just mix the SNG first, let stand about 15 mins then add the Bill's, and Nutrical. A great mix.

Dina is correct in suggesting to add the baking soda. Here's what I suggest if you are not getting a color change: There is no shelf life on Spray-N-Grow, however as ages it (the concentrate) changes from a bluish to a yellowish cast which can affe…

The Spray-N-Grow and Bill's combination make plants more disease and insect resistant. The Neem Oil is a good pesticide, but I wouldn't use it until you see a problem developing. However, there is nothing wrong with using it as a preventative. Mix i…

Tomatoes

In about a month we’ll start planting our spring gardens here in South Texas and that means more talk about tomatoes. Tomatoes are the #1 plant here just like it is every place. We’ve spent a lot of research money growing tomatoes using Spray-N-Grow. These trials were conducted to imitate to how farmers would use Spray-N-Grow and they showed a yield increase of 50-60 % and increased sugar content (better taste). Home gardeners will do even better because they will apply more Spray-N-Grow to the… Continue

Looking forward to some much needed Rain!

There is a 50% chance of rain tomorrow and Wednesday, and that’s good news since we haven’t had a significant rain sine Aug 2008. However, it has been a good time to observe which local plants are holding up during a severe drought.

Driving around town I’ve noticed that Esperanza (Blue Bells) and Bougainvillea are remarkably drought tolerant. Plants that I know have not had any water are healthy and full of blooms. I think we will plant some around our new warehouse where water is limited and i… Continue
