My Spray-N-Grow Garden

Which is better horse manure or compost?

I have a question which is better for a garden horse manure, or compost the reason I ask is because my soil is very sandy (Southern Ca.). And I do what to add some organic matter to the soil.

Thank You

Compost is better than using horse manure that has not been composted. Horse manure compost is very good.

Here is a really good web site that will answer your question better than I can. However, I can say that I use a good manure compost on my garden and beds every year and it has really built up my soil. Here in Rockport all we have is sandy soil so composting is critical. Let me know if you have more questions.

I have granite gravel and I didn't put anything down I am just using Spray-N-Grow and so far, my garden is thriving. In the past I have used lamb dung. I want to see what this product can do and so far, I'm impressed.
Good let me know
